i want a famous face, not.

Ha, I have been watching MTV’s I want a famous face for the past three nights.

It’s one scary show, but it made me think.
People are willing to go for surgeries, and have breast implants, just to look like a pop star they admire, or as they claim “to build up their self confidence”. To have cuts slash, spill blood and have their fronts hurt for a month or more, or even have side effects, resulting in more surgeries.
(one woman had 3 surgeries on one side, and 4 on the other side)

ironically, it’s not as though these pop stars they are trying to emulate are perfect and flawless, they have their own shares of weak moments too, who doesn’t?

this may sound absolutely absurd to many of us, since we don’t know many (if any) that underwent such ops, but we do show forth such insecurity in ourselves too what, often comparing ourselves with someone else, hoping to have a characteristic/ talent that someone else has.

This was running through my mind during the metamorphosis concert.
And I was so glad I could come before Him and feel so completely accepted and loved, despite the flaws I have. To feel so comfortable in my own skin before Him.

You know the depths of my heart, and you still love me, you are amazing.
